CAS 201: Employee Questions/Issues

Employee claims are any issues that employees may have. This can include things such

as problems with payroll, problems with W2s, wrong employee information, etc. Most of

the time these claims will need to be looked at by accounting management and/or HR.

However, we still need to take a look at these once a day to make sure they are being

handled.

1. Navigate to:

https://aws.american-stone.com/web#action=107&active_id=channel_inbox

2. In the black modular bar at the top, you should see an option for "Human

Resources," visible if your browser window is maximized. If not, select "More" of

the options.

3. In the drop-down menu, click "Human Resources."

4. Click "Employee Claims" under "Human Resources" from the left-side menu.

5. Most of the time there are no open employee claims. If there is none you are

done. If there is some move on to the next step.

6. If there is an employee claim go ahead and open it up.

7. Read the "Claim/Action Description". Most of the time these are related to payroll

or W2's. This means that they are usually handled by HR, CFO, or Controller. Scroll

down and click "Log note"

8. Tip! If there is something you can do, go ahead and research the problem. Log a

note with the information you found out from your research on the problem. If

you are unsure if you can do anything ask your supervisor or a team member.

9. Ask for an update or if the claim has been solved. Click "Log"

10.Go through all open employee claims and handle them accordingly.
